Terms of Use
Badia is an app for people who drive off-road: clubs, crews of friends, and people on their own. These terms are the agreement between you and Logos Technologies LLC ("we", "Badia") when you use the Badia app, badia.club and anything linked to them. You accept them in the app before you use it. If you don't agree, don't use Badia.
1. Off-road driving is dangerous, and it's your call
- Driving in sand, wadis and mountains can injure or kill people and wreck vehicles. You choose to do it, and you accept those risks.
- You are responsible for your vehicle, its condition and equipment, your passengers, your route, your speed and every decision you make out there.
- You hold a valid driving licence, follow UAE law, police and authority instructions, and stay out of areas that are closed, private or protected.
2. Badia is a guide, not a guarantee
- Maps, satellite images, coordinates, routes, shared drives, positions, speeds, the convoy map, Follow me and every alert can be wrong, out of date, delayed or missing — especially without mobile signal, with weak GPS or a flat battery.
- A line on a map is where someone drove or a straight line between points. It is not a safe track. Dunes move.
- Badia is not a certified navigation, safety or tracking device. Carry a radio, recovery gear, water, and tell someone where you're going.
3. SOS is not an emergency service
- SOS alerts other Badia users — the people on your drive, your club's marshals, your crews — when the network allows it. Texts to your emergency contacts go from your own phone.
- We can't promise any alert is delivered, read or answered, or how fast. In a real emergency call 999 (police) or 998 (ambulance) first.
- Use SOS only for real trouble. Misuse can put other people at risk; we may suspend accounts that abuse it.
4. Clubs and crews run their own drives
- A drive is organised by the club or crew that posts it — not by Badia. Whoever organises it decides the route, who can come, the marshals and the briefing, and is responsible for them, including any permits a drive needs.
- Levels are signed off by a club's own marshals. Badia doesn't test, train or certify anyone.
- "Registered club" means we checked the licence details the club gave us. It is not a safety rating.
- A club may ask you to accept its own rules or a drive waiver. That's between you and the club; Badia records that you accepted.
- Money for drives, dues or trips is between you and the club. Badia doesn't organise, sell or refund drives.
5. Your account and what you share
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- What you post — drives, announcements, messages, photos, tracks, ride details — is yours. You give us the right to store and show it to the people it's meant for so Badia works. You confirm you're allowed to share it.
- Add only emergency contacts who have agreed to be your emergency contact.
- Follow me shows your live position to anyone with the link until you stop it or it runs out. Send it only to people you trust.
- No harassment, threats, impersonation, illegal content, spam, or anything that endangers people. Report it in the app; we and the club's admins may remove content and accounts.
6. Privacy
How we handle your data — including location, the medical card and emergency contacts — is in the Privacy policy. It is part of these terms.
7. Liability
- Badia is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always work, be accurate, or be available where you are.
- To the fullest extent UAE law allows, we are not liable for injury, death, damage to vehicles or property, getting lost or stuck, recovery costs, or any loss that comes from driving, from drives organised by clubs or crews, from other users, or from relying on anything Badia shows or sends.
- Where we can't exclude liability, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, while Badia is free, is nothing.
- Nothing here excludes liability that UAE law doesn't allow us to exclude, such as for fraud or gross negligence.
- If a claim is brought against us because of how you used Badia or broke these terms, you cover our reasonable costs of it.
8. Ending, changing
- You can delete your account in the app at any time (tap your avatar on Home → Delete my account).
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
- We may change these terms. If a change matters, the app asks you to accept the new version before you carry on.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai decide any dispute.
